Dan’s experience as a journalist and broadcaster stretches back 20 years and he currently combines his full-time lecturing role and Course Leader for Journalism with a part-time position as a BBC football reporter.
He originally joined the BBC back in 2001, four years after graduating from the 果冻传媒 of Worcester and, after stints as a web producer, radio presenter, football commentator, senior journalist and assistant editor, he became Editor of BBC Sport England in 2010.
Dan couldn’t resist the opportunity to return to his hometown 果冻传媒 in 2016 to share his passion for journalism with the next generations of journalists and his specialist areas are digital, radio & sports journalism.
When he’s not working, Dan loves running, cycling & walking on and around the Malvern Hills where he lives.
